電話でのコードワード利用例
コードワード登録後、テレフォンバンキングを利用すると、「あなたのコードワードは？」と尋ねられるのではなく、「コードワードの２番目と４番目の文字は？」という尋ね方をされる場合があります。たとえば、コードワードがCHRISTMASの場合、２番目と４番目とは、HとIということになります。
※ コードワードは担当者によっては、Telephone Banking Access Code（テレフォン・バンキング・アクセス・コード）と言われることもあります。同じものを意味していますので、慌てずに対応してください。
コードワードを伝えて新規の口座を追加する際のやりとりは以下のような感じです。
Abbey: Good morning, Abbey International. How may I help you?
Taro: Good morning. This is Taro Yamada calling from Japan. I’d like to open a US Dollar Offshore Call Account, please.
Abbey: Could you give me your customer reference number?
Taro: My customer reference number is 123456789.
Abbey: OK, Mr. Yamada. The minimum deposit of the US Dollar Call Account is 1,500 Dollars. How would you like to deposit the fund?
Taro: I'd like to transfer the minimum deposit from my Offshore Gold Account.
Abbey: No problem. It takes one business day to create a new account. We'll inform you of the account number by mail. If you'd like to know the account number as soon as possible, please call us tomorrow.
Taro: It’s OK. I’ll wait for the letter.
Abbey: Thank you Mr. Yamada. For security reason, could you please tell me the second character of your codeword? Please don't tell me your codeword.
Taro: The second letter of my codeword is "I".
Abbey: Thank you Mr. Yamada. Could you tell me the last digit of your codeword?
Taro: Sure. It's "1".
Abbey: Thank you for your patience. We'll get in touch with you as soon as we create a new account. Do you have any other questions?
